Ipod to amp without a cd receiver?

Got an old vehicle, dont want to install a receiver. Is it possible to get a small amp with an ipod connection, and run a couple speakers off it? will this work? or does anyone know something easy that I can do similiar to this?

The amp could work or if the car has an fm radio you could plug a transmitter into the ipod.
