Amplifier Receiver

I need an amplifier or receiver?

I need to connect my turntables to my speakers, and I apparently need an amplifier or receiver (or do I?). What should I get? Any brand recommendations? I just want something that works.
Also, the speakers (2) are 150w a piece.

Depending on your sound needs go to a goodwill and find a stereo with an AUX IN RCA jack. Read the plate on the back and make sure it's at least 100W or greater power consumption. I know it's kinda ghetto but it's cheap. The unit should be kinda heavy. Buy two if you need more power. Make sure they work! Switch the input knob to AUX. An idea anyway.
