What do news anchors say when there is silence at the end of the news?
I thought of this after watching Anchorman, and began to wonder if newscasters really do just say random stuff to each other when there is silence or background music playing and muting out their audio at the end of a broadcast. If any of you were involved in a TV station or something of the like, I am interested if there is some generic conversation they go through like "How was your day?", etc. Thanks!
Probably say where are we going for supper or a drink after the newscast?
Some anchor teams you can tell get on well, just by their banter and alot of them are still chatting away as they fade to black or the music plays.
Other news anchors just sit there waiting for the cues, writing on their copy.
I'd love to hear what the single anchors say and sometimes on the satelite feed you get to hear it. LOL
