what are a good pair of computer speakers with good bass?
i want to upgrade my computer to better speakers with lots of bass but it has to be adjustable and affordable. any suggestions?
Yes... but how much bass? Are you one of those folks who wants to just hear pounding bass beats? I hate to say this, but a used car subwoofer in a box plus a cheap used amp. Shouldn't cost more than $100, and I see folks running them right along cheap minisystems. Nasty, yes, but they pound and don't sound too much worse than sub-$100 computer speakers?
Sorry if I stereotyped you in a nasty way, and you're not THAT kind of a bass freak, but there's no cheap and good-sounding way to get bass for under $100, really. Maybe you could buy a used 1980's rack stereo with 12" woofers and put it in the computer room. Don't expect it to exactly pound, though... it will have normal and nuanced bass response. Perhaps the top-end CyberAcoustics speakers, too- think they have a 10" woofer.
