satellite radio vs satellite tv , why the difference?
With satellite radio I can travel all around listening to the same channel without messing with the antennae, but with satellite tv you must have your antennae (dish) precisely aimed to receive your channels! It would be nice to use an antennae the size of a cell phone sitting quietly on your bookshelf to receive all those satellite tv channels!! Why won't this work?
the reason why this will not work is tv uses a large frequency range wich are compounded into what we call transponders and each one carries so many channels like 6 or something wich requires a wide range to receive the signal that is why satellite companys use 2 or more sattelites to broadcast from and sattelite radio uses more like a strong fm radio station though it is satellite it just doesnt use that much frequency range to bring all the channels
