What is the best complete home stereo system for $500 or under?
I listen to mostly classical music and 20th century music that comes out of the classical/romantic tradition. But I listen to it on an old, 1992 boom box and it sounds terrible. I want a new system, but can't afford more than $500. Any suggestions?

I do have a MacG4 laptop in case some add ons or speaker configuration might be the best option.
i would say the Onkyo SKS-HT240 would answer your question... you can check cnet.com for the review... my uncle has one and its great... ofcourse if you had more budget... i'd say bose offers the best... but this give a loud bang for you buck!
