Music system to set up and add ipod and laptop facility. Novice requires idiot proof advice. SEE MORE...?
need to set up a music system and need advice on adding something that will enable us to play the ipod and maybe music from the laptop through the same system. Have a Cambridge Audio A1 Integrated Audio; a Cambridge Audio DAB 300 and two Gemini PT 2100 decks to join together so far. Do we need a mixer, and if so what sort to enable all of the above?!? And at a decent price. Or is there another way?
there a much easier way as far as the iPod is concerned get one of these:
plug it into the audio output of the music system (u dont have to buy it if u dont want to get it from ur local electronics store)

as for the laptop , if the stereo system has usb input then get a 2 way usb cable, if not then im not 100% sure some laptops have audio output so u could easily connect the two together that way
