How do I get rid of that crackling sound in my car speaker?
I've had the 6" x 9" speakers in my car for eight years and one of them is starting to make a "crackling" sound when any bass part of a song comes on. Does this mean there may be debris in the funnel part of the speaker, is the funnel cracked itself, or does it mean I need a new speaker? (2003 Toyota Corolla)
there are only 2 things it could be 1 the speaker is blown which yours ain't or no sound would come out of it at all or 2 the cone is busted which would result in a popping cracking Noise.....
so your speaker is busted not blown....
you could re cone it but that would probably cost more than the speaker itself better off buying a new pair....
