Is the Kodak Easyshare Model 5500 still being made and will the ink cartridges still be available to buy?
I have just bought this new Printer and i heard from my neighbour that they were going to stop making these types of printers and i just want to know if it is true before the warranty is up and before i open the box.
I don't know about Kodak but usually when a manufacturer discontinues a printer they make the ink available for a certain amount of years after then stop as others who bought before they discontinued would be unable to run it. I think if you are worried you could try calling Kodak to have them confirm ink availability after discontinuation. I know on my printer's manual (not a Kodak one) its states that they will continue to manufacture inks for three years after they decide to discontinue the model. I would not worry to be honest.
