Pair UHF walkie talkie 5W 400-480Mhz PLEASE ADVISE ME!!!?
Hi,
I am thinking about getting these radios on ebay (Pair UHF walkie talkie 5W 400-480Mhz TWO WAY RADIOS-NEW). They say that the frequency range is 400-480mhz. i wish to access a UHF channel Frequency 485.1500mhz. Would I be able to program them to this frequency. People have also said that you need the software that costs $20AU to buy. One guy said you don't even need it to program it and can just put in the frequency with the keypad. And YES or NO would you be able to connect it to 485.0000
Radio's definitely exist that can be programmed to such a wide frequency range. Usually they are programmed with software, I do not know of any that can be programmed to such a wide range through a keypad.
Your problem is that the radios that you link to cannot be programmed to 485.1500mhz, which you say is the frequency that you need to communicate on. The radios that you are linking to would only support frequencies in the 400-480 range, and 485 is too high.
