how can i change the color of wood finish?

I got a nice bar/table that is like a honey/yellow finish, which clashes w/ the restof my furniture that is dark cherry finish. How can i change the finish of the table to make it dark cherry. any links or help would be helpful, thank you.

I'm not sure I understand what beach is tryng to describe, but I would hesitate to apply any kind of sealant (polyurenthane) with binders over a finish that has been previously stained and sealed. You didn't really describe the bar/table and what kind of sealant it has. I assume it was stained and then finished with some type of varnish or polyurethane, depending on the age of the furniture piece.
anyway, to rework the bar/table to match your other furniture, you'll probably have to do some work on it. First, is the bar/table solid wood or is it covered with veneer? This will determine how far you can sand down the wood in order to restain it. Whatever you do, you'll need to remove any sealant or wood protectant on the bar/table and then remove the old stain. Then you'll need to apply a cherry finish that matches the other furniture. Afterwards, I would then seal the bar/table with a good finish uch are varnish or polyurethane. However, without more details about your furniture it's hard to give good advice.
