How do i change my computer speaker to my headphones?

its 3am and i don't wanna wake the whole house so i stuck my head phones into my computer,they're called turtle beach headphones i think,but my speaker is in my tower so i want the sound in my headphones not my speaker,how do i do that ?

the speaker in th etower is simply for pc counds when there is no other speaker sysmte connected.
the real speakers, which should be external to your tower, are by[passede when you plug in headphones, if it's connected properly internally...
