2 Camcorder questions: Mini DV or Digital, is there any real advantage, also how many Megapixels do I need?
I need a reasonable quality camcorder, looking at used: Would I be okay with a Mini DV style v/s digital. Also how many megapixels will be able to zoom and view with reasonable clarity, say, across the street or a bit farther? I do not need the highest quality. Needing it for a specific project, not necessarily ongoing. Experienced with digital camera, not camcorders. Input appreciated.
I'd go with mini dv, even if it's a cheap one.
