If i download a game from direct to drive will it still have a drm?
For example if i download fallout 3 will it still have securom on it. Follow up question is the securom version on fallout 3 malicious like the one on crysis or spore.

The only way to get a game that doesn't have DRM in it , is a pirated copy which sadly tends to run better then the one off the discs since its one less program opening and running in the background. I believe i read an article not long ago about problems with DRM and a few other securom issues with the straight to drive /downloaded games.
Securom is not really Malicious, unless you have a Cd or dvd burner or software or use some of the programs that are (used by torrent people) such as virtual drives and so on. Of course this effects people like myself who use burning software for home movies and other non illegal things. My thought is that as long as they use software that hurts the buyer and makes the pirate version more stable, why would you buy it? your getting a slower game just from the added anti-pirate software that causes more people to pirate it.. but anyhow.
I am fairly certain that fallout 3 has the same anti-buyer pro-pirate DRM.
