Harddisk Memory help request?

Could you give me some advice on my PC issue? Y'see, the problem is I know my disc C has more free space than it shows right now, as I had downloads negligible to the number of unfilled GB's 'gone'.
However, I do trythe reg'lar procedures of disk defragmentation CCCleanup and the like - I even hope it bears some fruit in the long run, yet doesn't it look a bit weird - like a lottery with a carousel, in that you have to jump into the clearance on its move and saddle the vacant toy horse while the roundabout is spinning at an awful speed?..

If your pc is more than a couple of years old, you’ll have an enormous amount of unsolicited junk on the hard drive that’s not going to go away no matter what you do. This is due to all sorts of housekeeping tasks that go on despite what you do, or try to do. So, what to do to get rid of this detritus: I always give my PC a factory reset every year, just when I’m about to renew my antivirus software. I’ve done this many times and always feel that it benefits from the clean out. It’s a bit of a bore updating it, as one always losses all the updates with this dramatic clean out but, I now leave it on over-night for a couple of days and it’s all up to date again. So I’d advise a “factory re-set”. Good luck
