how much noise cancelling do the bose in ear headphones actually provide?
so im looking at the Bose in Ear headphones/earbuds and am curious how much external noise they block out in comparison to other in ear headphones? aka, could i wear them under my motorcycle helmet and have them block out a good amount of wind and engine noise fit in my ear comfortably, and not fall out... and so on?

I use to ride... so I know how nice it would be to be able to block out the wind noise... and if you have a loud engine/exhaust, block out these sounds too.
The Bose In Ear earbuds block sound as well as earplugs. This would be up to about 25db of sound... so its pretty good.
But - the problem is they wouldn't fit into a full faced helmet. If you are wearing the cruiser type, then you're ok.
You should try the Bose Qc15's - they are very good... but those are around ear type - full sized headphones - so they wouldn't fit at all... This will give you a good idea of true noise cancellation technology and how well it can work [if it would fit].
I'm not a big fan of Bose products [in fact, I really think that they are grossly overpriced] - but the QC15's do work very well - sound quality for audio is not great.... but the Noise Cancellation is awesome!
