Vegan Ice cream cake help!?
Hi everyone. I am an omni and not too familiar with vegan recipes. Im looking for a tried and true recipe for vegan WHIPPED CREAM (if there is such a thing)
I am a cake decorator and was just asked to make a 100% vegan Ice cream cake. I already have a great chocolate cake recipe that I just used for another cake I made, and I know how to make/where to buy vegan ice cream, but dont know how you would go about making the whipped icing for the cake. You cant really use any other type. Buttercreams are no good in the freezer.
I said 'ok' guessing that you can almost find any food in vegan form.
I suppose I could cover it in a chocolate ganache if all else fails... but id really like to make a nice whipped topping because its classic to ice cream cake.

I like "Soyatoo!" whipped topping. It's available in a can, ready to use, or you can buy the vegan heavy cream and whip it up yourself.

I'm fortunate to live in an area where Soyatoo is available in a few health food stores. Hopefully you have the same convenience, but it's available online.
