Can a regular vocal condenser microphone be used as a measurement/analyzer microphone with a Real-TimeAnalyzer?

If I take a Samson CL8 condenser microphone and use a digital graphic display equalizer to flatten the frequency response for a given mic-pattern in accordance to the user-manual's data, can I then use it to tune a mastering room with pink-noise and a Real-Time Analyzer?

I did a brief search on that mic. I didn't find much information but looks like a fairly typical condenser. You need to find the response curve for it and if it is nice and flat, go ahead and use it. Just make sure that you are providing it with phantom power without routing the signal path through any filters.
