Can I water my flower garden with treated pool water instead of just putting it down the drain?
We have a 600 Gal. wading pool and are done using it for the summer. Instead of just draining the pool, I was wondering if we could use the water on our flowers and shrubs? I have used shock treatment and pool sanitizer in it, so I am not sure.
Most pool water has less chlorine than drinking water. Pools have 1.5 parts per million (ppm) . Drinking water will have 12 to 24 ppm chlorine. To be sure just stop treating the water for a week or so before you water the plants.
