Speaker Volume Toggle as a headphone AMP?
Hey guys, i currently own some Logitech z5500 and Logitech z2300's and i was wondering if the detached Volume Toggles on them could be used as a headphone Amplifier?

its a yes and no answer...but mainly no.
Your speakers have built in amplifiers to send more or less sound to the rest of the speakers. The volume toggles are just that..they are toggles/knobs that control the amplifier to send more or less sound to speakers.
If you detach the toggles, they may not necessarily boost sound into your headphones, because the toggles were meant to control the amplifier. But your headphones don't need amplifiers and therefore they might work. it all depends on the type of speaker drivers on the headphone. It'll depend if they (speakers in headphones) can accept new commands from the toggle switches. If your not afraid to detach the toggles and confident that you can put it back, then it doesn't hurt to experiment.
