My lcd cleaner is streaking my screen what else can I use?
I have the Phillips cleaning gel and cloth for lcd screens and it has always worked fine. I just cleaned it and if left smudges and streaks all over. So much that you can see them while watching the tv. It seems as if the cleaner has built up on the screen. Is there anything safe to use besides these cleaners? Would a dilution of vinegar and water be ok to use?
Have you tried using just a dry soft cloth, no chemicals at all? If all it is a bit of built up residue, then a clean cloth may help take that off. I would at least try first off.
Otherwise, I guess try another brand of LCD cleaner. Hit up an electronics store and talk to them. They should have another alternative for you. There are loads out there.
If you want the DIY solution, then go to a drug store and grab Isopropyl Alcohol (91%). Mix that in a 1:1 ratio with water in a spray bottle. Lightly mist that onto a soft cloth and then clean.
