How can Obama be Pro Union, but Anti GM?
There have been numerous studies on the addtional costs in Union environments vs. Non-Union environments. Yet Obama is Pro-Union, which makes US goods even less competitive with foriegn goods or even goods produced by US-based Non Union Businesses.
GM and Chrysler are having the screws put to them now by Obama, kicking out the CEO of GM and allowing them 60 days worth of operating expenses. One of the major obstacles that GM and Chrysler are dealing with is trying to make their businesses more viable while burdened with the tremendous costs brought on by Unions.
What is Obama's message here? Is he trying to bring these companies down? What does he expect them to do when he allows Unions to demand extraordinary compensation? Does he not understand that high labor costs are what has sent most mfg. to 3rd world countries? How can he not correlate that exceptionally high labor costs can prevent a corp. from being competitive and profitable?
obama pretends that he cares for the union, all that he cares about are their votes, now that he is president. whatever happens to them is no longer an issue.
