How much would it cost to mic my drum set?
I'm just wondering how much a good quality mic set would cost to improve the sound of my drums. Please give me a link to your suggestion! Thanks
mics don't really "improve" the sound of a drum set.
a bad sounding set will still sound bad.
A good sounding set, "can" sound good,
with a really good set of mics,
a good soundman,
and a good PA.
MIcs are used, to allow a sound man to "balance" the sound of the group,
thru the PA.
and it has to be a GOOD PA, or it will sound worse !
(some PA's can't handle the bass drum)
starter mics kits start around $200 and go up,
more if you need another mixer,
