How to build Subwoofer Driver from scratch?
Does anyone know of any guides on how to make a subwoofer because I couldn't seem to find any. I've found multiple guides on how to make normal, midrange speakers, but none on how to make subwoofers. Is the design for all speakers just the same, just that subwoofers are bigger?

The reason you can't find any guides on how to build a subwoofer from scratch is because nobody singlehandedly does such a thing. You would have to be a physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and acoustical engineering major in order to do that. You would also have to know CAD design, have your own machine shop with CNC machines, stamping presses or casting machines. You have to have voicecoil winding machines and a magnetizer. Then you need to have an anechoic chamber in order to do testing. You have to understand the meaning of all Thiele/Small parameters. You have to understand gauss strength in a magnetic field. Alot of money goes into reaserch and development before a speaker driver is built. Most speaker companies DO NOT build their own drivers the reason being because it is just too expensive to do. They just buy the raw driver, make a few cosmetic changes like put their logo on it, and sell it. VERY FEW companies build their own drivers just like very few companies build their own amplifiers.
