Will movie media files play on a dvd player, when burned onto a disc?
I'm planning on burning an anime series onto a bunch of DVD-R discs so that my friends and I can marathon it. My question is, will they play perfectly on a DVD player? I don't know too much about burnt video media on discs so I'm a bit worried.
Also, will the subtitles still work? I'm mostly concerned about that.
The files aren't movies per say, but rather .mkv and .avi media files.
home dvd player usually support dvd video format, so you need to make sure:
1) Your video is in dvd video format, a standard dvd video should have 'video_ts' folder with many .ifo, .bup, .vob files in it. If not, you'd better to convert to dvd video format first.
2) You burn your movie as a dvd video format not dvd data format
I always use ideal dvd copy to copy dvd since it is so easy and quick, you may free download from http://www.idealdvdcopy.com/ to have a try , it can also keep the same quality, same audios and same subtitles as original dvd if you just copy your dvd by default.
