What happens to an old stock when it rebrands itself?
I have a stock in my portfolio that is changing it's name. Does the existing stock go into a delisting status or does the old stock migrate in reflecting the new value?
If they change their name their should not be any changes done to the stock whether it delists from NYSE, Nasdaq, AMEX etc. What may happen through is that their ticker symbol might change. For example although Sun Microsystems didn't change their ticker symbol has gone from SUNW to JAVA. Nothing changes.
