What makes a speaker specifically a car speaker?
I want to replace the 10" speakers in a pair of Cerwin Vega home stero speakers.......if I can't find affordable Cerwin Vega replacement speakers can I replace them with any 10" speakers.
Well, first they must be able to handle the weather conditions
(i.e. extreme heat, extreme cold, and humidity). Then, the are
more designed to handle the car amplifier's power (i.e. higher
power handling, and a lower impedance of 2-4 Ohms).
Here are some websites that can direct you to the lowest prices on the internet for the models that you are looking for. Also, there are other excellent brands of 10" subwoofers that will meet or beat the quality of Cerwin Vega at a similar or even better value. For example, Dayton Audio, JBL, and Infinity or just a few.
