What would be the best reciever for a pair of JBL E80 speakers?
I have a pair of JBL E80 speakers. They will mainly be used for listening to music but may be used to watch movies or play video games occasionally. I want to know what would be the best receiver to get. I would like to keep the price under $300.

My suggestion hands down would go with an Onkyo Receiver. The reason being is Onkyo receivers are built with superior power supplies. I didn't scrutinize the specs on the JBL's you mentioned, but they're can be bi-wired and usually require a bit more power than your average speaker. Not to mention if you like to push the volume, it's always good to have the extra power without straining. Also, Onkyo makes a really clean sounding receivers as far as receivers go. It'll be entry level at that price, but for the money I think it would be the best way to go. I own a company and we do a lot of installs and for the money at that price range get yourself an Onkyo and hopefully you won't be disappointed.
