Whats the gamling game in which a skilled player is most likely to make the most money?

in player vs player games, take into effect the fact that you might be playing very skilled opponents. ie- in poker, to make real money lets say you start playing some $200 SnG's ... you can bet most will be skilled too.

There is no sure way, in a player vs player game. If you are out to make even money, you're gonna run into someone who is better at the game than you, particularly if there's skill levels. Over the long term it will work out to a 1:1 odds minus any fees you pay to organizations for holding tournaments etc. Somebody will be good enough to win money over time, but don't assume that somebody will be you. And the better you get, the more you'll restricted to playing against people just as good as you. Become a pro poker player and you'll have to play against other pros, and still be as likely to lose as win.

There is one house game where you can get a positive expectation, and that is of course blackjack. You aren't likely to get enough winnings to cover the expense of playing blackjack in the first place, particularly if you do it at a casino. And they have all kinds of little tricks for getting their money back. They don't mind having a few blackjack players winning money. You can win maybe 10 percent on a good day of the stake you go in with. But if you repeatedly go in with $10,000 and walk out with $11,000 they might get irritated and kick you out.

As with all kinds of contests the real way to win more than lose is to choose your opponents and battlegrounds wisely. Play poker against the dumb guy who wants to win big and will make foolish bets. Play the game the other players aren't good at. If you bet on sports, do it in a private pool - and pick a pool where everyone is stupid but you. Don't try to beat the published spreads or state sport lotteries, they are made by the savviest statisticians in the business and if you win over 5 years you'll still lose over 10. Bet against your friends instead - your dumb friends, not your smart ones.
