My digital portable radio has telescopic aerial can I convert it by using wire type ?
For my HiFi radio I use a wire connection which I trail over my lounge door which gives me acceptable reception,whereas my portable one with the telescopic I get a broken up reception wherever I place it.
use a clip lead to connect the wire antenna to the whip. Remember the three rules of antennas.

3. farther away from other objects.
try to obey all as much as practical.
