usb powered speakers do they require a sound card?
My sound card took a crap in my Dell C series PC and I cant use the speakers. If I buy a cheap set of USB speakers will my sound card even be needed?
No, they absolutely do not require a sound card.
USB speakers act as their own sound card. In fact, in order to use them, you have to set them as your primary sound device or completely disable your built-in sound card or they won't even work.
