Powered Sub

Why wont my powered sub work through the reciever in the subwoof plug but it works great through RCA plug 2 TV?

My reviever is about 10 years old now but it works great with my speakers. I only have two tower speakers and the sub plugged in it and it set to pro logic setting. Did I do something wrong here? I have an old Pioneer reciever

Your amp probably has a place in the menus that enable or disable the subwoofer.Check to see that this is on.
