How do I hook up my turntable?
I just bought a turntable, and I want to hook it up to my guitar amp so I can play some newly acquired vinyl. The turntable has a built in preamp, and my amp has aux inputs... the turntable also has one of those little forks that my amp doesn't have any place for. In order for this all to work, what else am I going to have to buy/do so i can be listening to some quality music?
Do not hook up your turntable to your guitar amp. The pre-amp signal coming out of it is way hotter than a a guitar signal. You need a receiver or integrated amplifier and some speakers. Go to a pawn shop for cheap stuff.
