which are the best noise reduction headphones/earphones that will not break the bank?

I travel often and would like to find headphones / earphones that also reduce the noise. I prefer not to spend over $100.
But I want ones that work in my MP3 player and radio,also.
The earphones that came with my MP3 player were almost useless and broke after a short period of use.
help.

I bought a pair from First Street for around $70 that are wonderful, work with my computer and MP3 (not an iPod) and make airplane travel almost fun.
