Radio Tape

In my renault clio, its installed with a Radio/tape player with a volume gadget on the wheel, if i change to?

a cd player will the gadget(tuner) on steering wheel still work for the cd player or does it only work with the Radio/tape player?

If you use a renault cd player it will still work
If you buy another brand then you will need an adaptor of some kind ( dunno what its called) which you could probably get in halfords or even off ebay
