Will an RCA connector for the ipod work as an auxiliary wire?
I just bought a new car which does not have an auxiliary port or socket or whatever. Since the car does have a dvd player, there is an socket in which you can plug in an rca wire (the wire that has three wires in 1 which are colour coded red, white and yellow). I know there are some available for the ipod and was wondering whether I could use the wire to play my music on my ipod in the car
yes, that will work. just pick up the 3.5mm headphone jack to the red/white rca cable, fairly cheap and easy to find. select something like dvd aux on the cd player and dvd. don't turn up the volume all the way on the ipod or it will distort. turn it up almost all the way and then adjust the volume using your car radio. good luck!
