Pickup selector switch problem?
When plugged in to my amp it isn't loud unless the pickup selector switch is all the way down and I'm pushing it towards the strings. how can I make my guitar always loud when plugged into my amp?
this has happened to me before so i know how to help.
this is either a wiring problem or your selector switch needs to be changed.
if you have a soldering iron then it is an easy fix. if not your local music shop will do it for like 20 bucks.
open up the back of your guitar and make sure all the wires have a strong connection. if a wire is disconnected solder it back into place. if everything is connected and it keeps doing it check and see if the wires connected to your pickups or humbuckers or connected. if everything is still connected and it keeps doing this than you can buy a new selector switch super cheap and put it in yourself.
if you dont have the tools do this all yourself or are uncomfortable doing it you should just take it in and they are able to check everything and fix anything that is wrong.
