I have sony 8mm video cassette,no camcorder,what do i need to buy to play them on my computer?
they are from 10 yrs. ago, and have some good memories on the cassettes.
Players will cost you an arm and a leg. I assume its non digital, you can get (probably second hand), a digital 8mm camcorder, as they are old you will probably get it for a song. Remember you are going to need Firewire IEEE 1394 in your computer. Another option there are many companies that will convert your tape/s and put them on a DVD, or if you supply it they will even put the video onto an external drive, then you can edit the video or do what ever you want.
I dont know where you are in the world so you will have to do the search something like "video conversion services" you know what I mean
