Toshiba VCR's and PAL...?
I have a Toshiba M675 VCRPlus.
I want to know if it will play PAL VHS tapes.
I'm buying a PAL tape from the UK and it is being shipped to Canada (where I live).
I realize that the TV plays a part in if the tape will play or not.
My TV model is SONY Trinitron SRS WEGA.
if anyone could let me know if a PAL tape will play for me, I would gretly appreciate it.

Update: Well if you are sure you have tried with a PAL tape and it works, then it just might work with another one. I would say this would be unusual though since I've yet to find a VCR in Canada that can play a PAL tape and output NTSC video and I've yet to find a TV in Canada that can process a PAL input signal and display it natively.
No. Virtually no VCRs or TVs in Canada natively support the PAL format (interestingly enough, most projectors do, but I won't go into that). If you try to play the tape through the VCR to your TV, you will AT BEST be able to get a black and white picture that will likely be cropped and may be of poor quality.
It is possible to purchase a PAL to NTSC converter (I have one), and while it can produce an acceptable conversion, it cannot change the fact that PAL videos are recorded at 25 frames per second at 50 Hz (compared to North American video at 30 frames per second at 60Hz) hence you tend to get a lot of judder / motion blurring / jumpiness.
Many Canadian DVD players (although not all) can play PAL discs and output them as NTSC video that your TV can play natively. There is one problem though, most DVDs from the UK will be encoded with a different region code, and if your player is not multi-region / region-free it may not play the disc. Also there are no guarantees your player can play the PAL disc and do the conversion anyway.
