Can placing your tower next to a large speaker mess up your hard drive?
My puter won't work. It started acting goofy then quit all together. I realized that it was sitting next to a large floor standing speaker. Can the magnets in a speaker mess up a hard drive?
No, the speaker magnets cannot affect the hard drive.
Motors and compressors can mess up the hard drive. Don't stick a computer next to a washing machine, a refrigerator/freezer, a portable air conditioner or other such device that uses a large motor or compressor.
