What's mounting depth when a sub woofer speaker asks for it?
The sub woofer that I want to build a box for says that it's mounting depth is 6" inches. I don't know what that means.
Mounting depth is just a measure of the depth of the subwoofer. It is important to know this stat so that you build an enclosure that is deep enough to house the sub.
If you have a mounting depth of 6" that means you need to build the enclosure deeper then 6" from the front to the rear panel in order for the sub to not hit the rear wall.
