What cables would i to connect speakers amp and sub in my car?
What cables would i to connect speakers amp and sub in my car?
I have just got 2nd hand fusion amp, sub and two 6X9's but do not have any cables.. What cables would i need and how many of them? Thanks
There is more details needed but here are the basics. Two main power wires with some form of in-line fuse (one positive and one negative; keep them the same guage and the negative no longer than 12"). One trigger (+) wire coming from your head unit. Depending on the specifics of the amp (one, two, four channel and how many watts RMS?); at least and set of RCAs. Then speaker wires from amp to speakers. If the 6x9s handle less than the subs (as most are) may consider the amp just running the subs (again depending on the type of amp...). There are wire kits that you can buy that come with everything however you want to know what your amp needs for power to buy the correct guage kit. Here is a link to show examples... good luck.
