what is the best way to connect 5.1 surround speakers to a laptop without a surround sound port?
on my laptop i have a stereo headphone port, a VGA-out port, USB, an S-video port and Expresscard. i want to get 5.1 surround sound for games and movies. what is the best way?
i cant spend too much money (im spending £40 on speakers already and im cheap)
if i do have to buy an external sound card, where from and how much is it?
The only way is to buy an external audio card. You will need an audio card with 5.1 exits. You should buy a 2.1 set, it also sounds better than 5.1 . (5.1 looses quality of sound to create the surround effect)
