What would be the best way to sync my ipod to my car stereo and give me full control of the features?
I currently have a Pioneer 7700 series head unit in my car and I'm using the Pioneer ipod interface to link my ipod to my stereo ,but it gives me very little control of my ipod. I can only see 8 letters of the song title and I can never find the song I want to listen to when I want to listen to it. I'm curious to know if perhaps I sold my Pioneer unit and ipod adapter and then just bought me one of those head units that has a DVD touch screen built into it ,if that would give me full control over my ipod? I'm thinking sinse the screen would be much bigger than the ipod's screen then I should be able to see exactly what is on my ipod's screen and also be able to control it just like I would if I had the ipod right in my hand. Does anyone know if that would be the case or what would you recommend I get to get the most control of my ipod possible?
some of the new top-of-the-line head units completely take over the ipod in probably the form you're expecting, looks just like your ipod screen only it's up on the head unit. i know this isn't what you asked, and it's just my opinion, but getting a head unit with the little line-in jack on the front and plugging it into the headphone jack on your ipod is WAY better. doesnt look as cool but it sounds perfect and you can still use the ipod for everything. reason i say this is because i'm pretty sure the kinda head unit you're looking for doesn't have cd capabilities anymore. everything is going completely usb and ipod. THAT is scary
