can i play sound from my tv to my stereo system if i plug it into the headphone jack on the tv?
i want to play sound from my tv to my stereo system. the reason why i want to try the headphone jack is because that'ss the only way the cord fits from my stereo to the tv.
Yes, that will work. However the quality may not be that great, though you probably won't be able to tell. Another thing is that it will be dependant on the volume of the TV, so for instance if the volume is too low, it will sound bad on your stereo, or the opposite if it's too loud, even if you adjust the volume on the stereo to compensate.
If you TV has a TV/Video Out area, I would suggest using the audio from there. They make cable adapters for RCA to Stereo 3.5mm for cheap.
