Subwoofer Amplifier

can i hook up my subwoofer amplifier to my factory stereo head unit in my 1993 Lincoln town car?

i know that i can take away my rear speakers and hook my amp up that way but i was hoping their was a adapter or another alternative that would not require me changing my stereo?

You can purchase a LOC(line output converter) with this you will tap into the + and - of each rear speaker wire and that will give you RCA's to plug into your amp. After that, just power and ground wires to the amp and a remote turn on to any switched power source and you're good to go.
