Whats the difference when you put a subwoofer upside down in a box instead of sealing it in? Is it special sub
i have seen subwoofers being put upside down meaning the magnet side is out and its facing inside the box. What difference does it make? need details? thanks
It's only for looks.
However, you just can't invert a sub. The space the magnet took up in the box is now outside the box. This changes the internal volume space which changes the characteristics of the boxes tuning which may result in poor performance from the sub.
