Has anyone use black walnut to treat heartworms?

have adopted a stray dog that was diagnosed with heartworms. She is under cardotek at this time since about 6 months ( I adopter her then )- doctors said she could not take the harsher treatment. She is caughing a lot and I am desperate to get those nasty parasites out of her system before it's too late. I've read a lot of articles about black walnut as an alternative treatment that would be less aggressive. Has anyone tried it or knows someone who has? Please help. Thank you so much

I have always thought that the Black walnut was poisonous to dogs. Heartworm diease in dogs is not something to mess around with- I would only discuss treatment with your veterinarian- I wold hate for anythig bad to happen to your dog- please discuss treatment with them.
