I have a Panasonic SC-PT950 home theater surround?
How do i adjust the rear wireless speaker volume. It is very soft compared to the front speakers and when watching surround the effects are very minimal.
Axel is half right. Your speakers are doing what they are suppose to do, but you will hear a difference when a movie or television show is editing for surround sound. You will see it on the screen: available in dolby 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound.
When technical editors get the audio back for their movie, their job is to match the sound to the video. Next is what gives the best effect. Sometimes you will hear a siren in your back right, but to give the effect the emergency vehicle is traveling it moves to the left. If they want to give the effect it is getting closer it starts in one speaker, gets louder. Then a second and gets louder, etc.
Your back speakers are for effect, but from time to time you will clearly hear them during a movie or television show. It is up to the editor to how loud and what the back speakers play. Just FYI: the center speaker gets all sound all the time. The front right and left should get 80% of what the center gets. Just some basic info for you.
