Does USB turntable need amplifier?
I wanna buy an USB turntable. (numark TTUSB)
Does it need an amplifier or i plug it in my laptop>my laptop into computer speakers and it works?
The Numark should have a built-in preamp, so no problems there. Other than that, yeah, these things are plug-and-play.
Of course, these things are mainly meant as a means to easily convert your vinyl to MP3 (and not with the best possible sound quality). If you want to use it as a regular turntable, you’re much better off spending a little more on a decent machine. The most obvious suggestion would be something like a Project Debut III, which is commonly held to be one of the best entry level turntables around..
